It's a smaller dining room and if you want something, don't be shy - ask for it. We'll be back.
The menu doesn't really list things out completely. There's no listing of things like beer or wine but they are available if you ask.
Food was good. There was an unadvertised buffet which meant that I over indulged. Prime rib, fish, ribs, dumplings - it was all tasty.
Booked a room for myself weeks in advance for a total of two days. After an exhausting day, I arrived at the hotel from work on the 2nd evening only to find the luggage and bags of another guest of the hotel in my room. I made my way up to the lobby to express my anger to the 70+ year old owner Jackie Walker who tried turning the blame onto me by saying "Why did you take all of your belongings out of the room?" Since this hotel was built sometime in the 1970s, I'm guessing they run it the same way since they clearly don't understand how a reservation works. So to my understanding by choosing to take your belongings out of the room you automatically give your room up to be re-booked. After being offered a free drink at the bar to make up for the poor handling of the situation, I made my way back to the same room to check on the toiletries I purchased the 1st evening I spent at the hotel that I left in the bathroom since they do not provide them for you. Lo and behold, everything was thrown out during the day when my room was "checked out." After finishing my pity drink, I was given another room to stay the night in. Overall, I lost two hours of sleep, lost $20 worth of belongings, and never received an apology by the hotel for their mistake. Do yourself a favor, and book yourself a room at a hotel that will keep your reservation during the duration of your stay. I'm hoping this review helps with future hotel accommodations, but then again, they don't have wi-fi internet access to read it.
good drinks. but gambling machines no good very tight.
Motel was very dated. Would not recommend staying here. Come only for the food.
We stayed one night for a snowmobile trip. The trails were very close by and accessible. The room was clean and appeared to have received a fresh coat of paint recently. The water did take a very long time to get hot and the heater smelled like natural gas when it turned on as we were going to bed. When we mentioned this at checkout we were told they didn't have gas heat. This was interesting as there was clearly a natural gas line and regulator connected to the heater in the room. Breakfast was not included, but was a full Sunday brunch for $13. It was excellent. Overall, it was a decent stay and I'd probably stay again.
